Lagos Police Arrest Sam Larry in Mohbad Death Investigation

The Lagos State Police Command has taken into custody the controversial Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, better known as Sam Larry, as part of its ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

Confirming this development, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, took to his verified Twitter page on Thursday to announce that Sam Larry is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

“He is currently assisting with the ongoing investigation.”

Earlier, the police had summoned both Sam Larry and the singer, Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, for questioning regarding Mohbad’s untimely demise.

The police had recently confirmed that the autopsy on Mohbad had been completed by pathologists, with the results pending.

“Autopsy has been concluded. Awaiting results”, SP Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer said.

This development followed the exhumation of Mohbad’s remains by a joint team comprised of the Nigeria Police Force and health officials.

Also, the police have detained the nurse responsible for administering an injection to the deceased singer prior to his passing on Tuesday, September 12.
