The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), has directed the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to place renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, on a no-fly list.
Keyamo made the announcement on Thursday via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, noting that the directive is pending the outcome of a full investigation into an incident involving the artiste at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The alleged incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday during boarding procedures at the airport. While details of the incident remain sketchy, the Minister emphasized that the move is a precautionary measure to maintain order and ensure accountability within Nigeria’s aviation space.
“This government is committed to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that no individual, no matter how highly placed, is above aviation regulations and passenger conduct codes,” Keyamo stated in his post.
The NCAA is expected to carry out a thorough investigation and submit its findings to the Ministry in due course.
