Kaduna-based Seat of God FC to participate at Nigerian Pro 1 league

The management of Seat of God Football Club and Academy Limited (SOGFC), have agreed to participate in the Pro 1 league from next season.

The Directors, who met on Tuesday, in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, also resolved to conducting scouting exercise all over the country between November 2021 and January 2022.

These were contained in a communique made available to newsmen at the end of the meeting.

The meeting, had in attendance, the chairman of the board of directors, Bishop Tinuoye Ademola, and other members, including Alhaji Adegoke G. Abdur-Rasheed, (Bagii of Saki), Tinuoye R. Mojisola,  Dr. Olorunnisola M. Oluwatayo, Odedire O. Alan (Secretary of the Board) and the Ex- International who is the General Manager/Technical Director, Akin J. Akinseinde.

The Seat of God Football Club and Academy is a Kaduna based football outfit.

According to the communique, the management further agreed that the lunching program for the club will be January/February, 2022, adding that source of funding like advertisement, promotions and branding are to be encouraged and explored.

While commending the Board’s chairman, Bishop Tinuoye for his actions which they described as satisfactory and plausible, the Directors also informed that the club will be hosting an international reputable football personality – Mr. Thomas Vassilos Laftsis who will be in Nigeria to recruit/scout players in January, 2022

The communique reads: “The board commended the General manager/Technical director,  Mr. Akin Akinsehinde for great job so far and that he should be entrusted with more responsibilities.

“The Board President,  His Lordship,  Bishop A. I. Tinuoye’s actions so far were satisfactory, plausible and commendable.

“The football club and its directors are ready to collaborate with other bodies and individuals for growth and mutual benefits.

“The club needs more awareness and publicity as a brand.

“A lunching program for the club was agreed upon for January/February,  2022.

“Sources of funding like advertisement, promotions and branding are to be encouraged and explored.

“The club shall be conducting scouting exercise all over the country between November, 2021 and January, 2022.

“The board gave approval for the participation of the club at Pro 1 league in the coming season.

“The club will be hosting an international reputable Football personality in person of Mr. Thomas Vassilos Laftsis who will be in Nigeria to recruit/scout players in January, 2022”, it concluded.
