Jack Wilshere shows his class with a lovely gesture to Arsenal fan who ran onto pitch after win over Everton

Jack Wilshere showed his class with a lovely gesture to a fan who ran onto the pitch to celebrate after Arsenal’s 5-2 win over Everton.

The English midfielder was captured on video walking towards the Gunners supporters alongside his teammates, following the match.

But one fan got a little too excited and ran onto the pitch at Goodison Park in an attempt to greet the players personally.

Stewards prevented him from doing so and the Arsenal supporter was quickly restrained before being walked back to the away end.

Wilshere spotted what happened however, and decided to take his shirt off and hand it to the fan as he was being carried away.

The gesture went down very well with the fan, who was photographed punching the air in delight at receiving the Arsenal away shirt.

Arsenal supporters watching the game from home also took to social media to praise the 25-year-old for his actions.

Wilshere made his first Premier League appearance for the Gunners this season after impressing boss Arsene Wenger in the club’s past few Europa League games.

The midfielder put in a man of the match performance against Red Star Belgrade last time out, helping set up the only goal of the game scored by Olivier Giroud and assisted by Theo Walcott.

The 25-year-old will be hoping to stay fit and get a long run in the first team, after a disappointing season on loan at Bournemouth last season, marred by injury.
