I’ll Uphold Late Akinremi’s Legacy – Olamide Junaid Baliqis

A House of Representatives hopeful, Dr. Olamide Junaid Baliqis, has stated that she will sustain the late Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi’s legacies.

The late lawmaker, better known as ‘Jagaban,’ who represented the Ibadan North federal constituency of Oyo State, recently passed away.

Olamide Junaid, who hails from the Alaaka compound of Inalende, said in a statement over the weekend that the late lawmaker had made a significant impact and served the constituents meritoriously. She added that Akinremi’s good deeds are unprecedented in the annals of political service in the Ibadan North federal constituency and beyond.

The APC chieftain assured that she has offered herself as a suitable replacement with the capacity and goodwill to replicate the late Akinremi’s service to the people of the federal constituency.

“Once again, I want to extend my condolences to all the citizens of our federal constituency on the sudden and unfortunate death of Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi. May his soul rest in peace. I pray that God gives his family and political caucus the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” she said.

“As a patriotic leader committed to sustaining strong leadership, I have offered myself as a suitable replacement who has the capacity and goodwill not only to replicate but also to maintain the late Akinremi’s legacies.”

Underscoring her commitment to progressive politics, the aspirant, who is also a loyalist of President Bola Tinubu, expressed her pride in contributing to the successes achieved by the All Progressives Congress in recent election cycles.

Olamide Junaid Baliqis appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the ongoing economic and social reforms under the President Tinubu-led government, assuring that the benefits will be substantial.

She also urged APC members in Oyo State to remain united and focus on strategies for the upcoming bye-elections, emphasizing the importance of collective effort in achieving political success.

As a staunch advocate for equitable governance and democratic service, she has enlisted the support of foreign partners from developed countries such as the United Kingdom, the USA, and Germany to improve conditions for her constituents.

The House of Representatives hopeful, who founded the Olamide Junaid Foundation, has a deep-rooted passion for philanthropy. Her foundation’s work includes healthcare services, education, food distribution, and welfare programs, extending its reach beyond Nigeria to countries like Kenya and Uganda.

In Ibadan North, the foundation has completed two major cycles of empowerment this year, benefiting local constituents through various initiatives.
