Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) has assured that the cancelled Chairmanship and Councillorship elections in Ido Local Government Area of the state will hold tomorrow, Sunday.

Its Chairman, Isiaka Olagunju, who expressed his regret for the omission of ZLP logo on the ballot paper, on Saturday while addressing newsmen in Ibadan, also informed that the Commission had decided to conduct election in Ido Local Government tomorrow between 8am and 3pm.
The state electoral empire hinted that it had contacted the ballot paper contractor who promised to deliver the ballot paper today so that the election could go on as scheduled.
OYSIEC boss appealed to the general public, especially the residents of Ido Local Government Area to remain calm, reassuring that the commission’s promise to be transparent is intact, regretting the inconvenience it might have caused them.
However , it was learnt that the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) had earlier rejected tomorrow as the new day for the conduct of the election, stressing that it is too close.
