Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency: APC to hold interfaith prayer session for Oseni

Ahead of the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly, on Tuesday, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency and well-wishers, will today converge to hold a special prayer session for the elected House of Representatives member, Engr. Aderemi Oseni to mark the beginning of a successful tenure in the constituency.

Oseni, who defeated his closest rival, the occupant of the seat, Hon. Oluyemi Taiwo, of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), having scored the highest lawful votes of 26,285 is the only elected member in Oyo state who won in all the twenty wards housing the federal constituency and recorded an overwhelming victory with a huge difference of 15,285 votes.

Contained in a statement by his Media Office on Monday, prayers would be held in Ido and Ibarapa East local governments respectively.

According to the release issued by the Director of Media and Publicity, Idowu Ayodele, the special prayers would be offered at Ajisafe’s complex, Omi-Adio (Ido local government) while that of Ibarapa East local government is scheduled to hold at the APC Secretariat, Sango, Eruwa.

Idowu said the prayers which would be offered in sequence by the clerics from Islamic and Christian faiths are to be attended by APC leaders, members of the party, Directorates, volunteers, support groups, and well-wishers among others.

He added that the interfaith prayer was put together by the party in order to commit the elected House of Representatives member, Oseni into the hands of the Almighty as he begins his tenure.

The statement read,” The programme is dedicated to prayers, mainly to seek God’s guidance for Oseni as he prepares to take the reins of leadership.

“Also to receive prayers among others are President Bola Tinubu and first lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Vice-President Senator Kashim Shettima, and Hajia Nana Shettima, and Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District,” it continued.
