Hadiza Salam, a 400- level student of Fountain University, Osogbo, who was declared missing has been found alive.
Salam was declared missing by her colleagues after she reportedly boarded a vehicle from Abuja to Osogbo, Osun state capital, last week.
It was gathered that she left Abuja, the nation’s capital for Osogbo on Friday, July 22, 2022, to resume school.
The personal driver that drove her from Abuja to Osogbo had earlier claimed he dropped her at Igbona market and later said Salam alighted from his vehicle at Wema Bank Osogbo on that fateful day.
However, the university, in a statement by its Public Relations Officer, Taoheed Alimi, explained that missing Hadiza Salami was found unhurt.
Fountain University also lauded the effort of the security operatives, including the wide range of support received from the general public, noting that Salam is currently receiving all the necessary care and attention at relevant quarters for her to resume her regular activity,
“On behalf of the management of Fountain University, Osogbo, I write to inform the general public that one of our students, Hadiza Salami who was recently declared missing has been found.
“Miss Salami was found unhurt, thanks to the effort of the security operatives and of course, the wide range of support received from the general public”, the statement said
It continued, “While she is currently receiving all the necessary care and attention at relevant quarters for her to resume her regular activity, we want to thank the general public for the solidarity given to us.
“The management of the university, therefore, urges all to please stop any form of publicity indicating that she is still missing.
“Once again, on behalf of the management and the parents of Miss Salami, I wish to thank the Nigerian Police force and other security operatives, the press as well as the general public for the show of solidarity.”
