ARSENAL are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain about a loan move for Julian Draxler.

The 24-year-old forward was heavily linked with a move to North London while at Schalke, only for the deal to break down when the Gunners failed to agree a fee.

The German moved on to Wolfsburg , then PSG last December on a four-year contract.

Draxler has become an important part of the French giants set up this season under Unai Emery, but in a withdrawn midfield role to accommodate superstar’s Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Arsene Wenger is looking to take advantage of any unhappiness Draxler may have adjusting to his new role, according to L’Equipe.

The French boss looks resigned to losing Alexis Sanchez in January or for nothing next summer, with Manchester City looking odds-on to bag the Chilean striker.

And fellow contract rebel Mesut Ozil, who has been contacted by Atletico Madrid and linked with a move to Manchester United likely to leave, the Gunners need new additions to beef up their attack.

The Londoners are also on the trail of Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka on a free transfer next summer.

The 22-year-old is out of contract at the end of the campaign and can pen a pre-contract in January with an overseas club.

Meanwhile the Arsenal have confirmed the appointment of Sven Mislintat as the club’s new head of player recruitment.

Mislintat, who has worked at Borussia Dortmund since 2009, replaces Steve Rowley who is stepping down from his role after 25 years with the club.
