Frank Lampard was sent to the stands during Derby’s clash with Rotherham.
The Rams boss was furious that a penalty wasn’t given as his side looked to find a way back into the Championship encounter.
Derby had already lost Tom Lawrence to a red card before Rotherham took the lead from a penalty spot.
And after another penalty appeal went against his side, Lampard lost his cool with the officials.
He was furious that a spot kick wasn’t given when Jayden Bogle’s cross appeared to come off the arm of Jon Taylor.
The former Chelsea midfielder left the technical area to berate the linesman.
Lampard, whose discipline was impressive as a player, was subsequently sent to the stands for his behaviour.
Managers in the Championship and below can receive yellow or red cards for misconduct on the touchline while warnings are issued in the top-flight.
Offences that lead to such warnings include making inappropriate gestures towards officials, kicking or throwing water bottles, repeatedly leaving the technical area and time-wasting.
