The Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, announced today that the Federal Government has reached an agreement with the leadership of Organised Labour to set ₦70,000 as the new minimum wage.

This decision follows extensive negotiations held between President Bola Tinubu and representatives from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Abuja on Thursday.
