Member representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, and Chairman, House Committee on Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Hon. Aderemi Oseni, has commiserated with former Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Chairman, Prof. Adeolu Akande, following the death of his father, Pa Amos Adetunji Akande.

Pa Akande, a revered patriarch, grandfather, and community leader, passed away on Tuesday, at the age of 90. His demise has been described as a significant loss to both the family and the wider Itesiwaju community in Oyo State.

In a statement by his media aide, Idowu Ayodele, the lawmaker remembered the late patriarch as a man of faith, discipline, and service, whose life had positively impacted everyone around him.

“On behalf of the people of Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency, I express my deepest condolences to Prof. Adeolu Akande and the entire Akande family. Baba Amos Adetunji Akande lived a full life, leaving behind enduring legacies that will inspire generations,” the APC chieftain said.

He further urged the family and community to find solace in the values and teachings Pa Akande instilled, saying, “Though his physical presence is no more, the wisdom, humility, and guidance he shared will continue to guide his children, grandchildren, and community members.

Oseni prayed that God Almighty would grant the Akande family the strength to bear the loss, while ensuring that the soul of the departed patriarch rests in eternal peace.

Highlighting Prof. Adeolu Akande’s achievements, Oseni noted that they are a testament to the upbringing and mentorship of Pa Akande, whose principles shaped a life committed to service, integrity, and excellence.

“May the soul of Pa Amos Adetunji Akande find everlasting peace. We pray that his family and community are comforted during this difficult period, and that his legacy of leadership, faith, and humility lives on,” the lawmaker concluded.
