Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz has describe the ban of his song ‘This is Nigeria’ by the National Broadcasting Commission as ‘hilarious’.
The National Broadcasting Commission who pointed out that “This is Nigeria, look how we living now, everybody be criminal” Part is ‘lace with vulgar lyrics’, said the song shouldn’t be played on air.
A radio station in Jos, Plateau state on Thursday was fined N100, 000, for playing the song.
Reacting to the ban, Falz via his Instagram handle shared the ban letter with a hilarious emoticon.
He writes, “This is Nigeria. Look how we living now, everybody be criminal” is apparently a vulgar line”
Olamide’s song titled “See Mary, See Jesus” and Wande Coal’s Iskaba was also banned by the commission who explained that both songs contravened the law.
