Exclusive: As Ajimobi bows out, Ibarapa Poly Governing Council landed in EFCC net

Few hours after a busy week of events marking the exit of the Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi on Tuesday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)  has  arrested the Governing Council of the Ibarapa Polytechnic, Eruwa (now Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic) , Mega Icon Magazine exclusively gathered.
The Council Chairman, Dr Samuel Ogundiran  and his members are currently at the Ibadan office of the anti graft agency, our reporter learnt.
An highly impeccable source who confided in this newspaper hinted that the Governing Council, through a petition forwarded to the EFCC were alleged of approving and paying furniture allowances to its members.
Mega Icon Magazine source added  that the commission had earlier invited the Council for interrogations which they declined, until they were forcefully arrested today on campus while holding Council meetings.
Efforts made by our reporter to reach the Rector, Mr Iyiola Eyitayo via his cell phone,  proved abortive as of the time of filing this report.
