Ex-Reps member, Bamidele, one other shot at Ado-Ekiti APC secretariat

A member of the seventh House of Representatives and governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the just concluded governorship primary in Ekiti State, Hon. Michael Opeyemi Bamidele  popularly known as MOB, and one other person have been shot.

According to reports, the shooting took place at the All Progressives Congress secretariat in Ajilosun, Ado-Ekiti, during a reception organised for the governorship candidate of the party, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.

It was also learnt through the information scooped from PUNCH that the bullet came from the rifle of a mobile policeman who was among those deployed to ensure security.

Bamidele has been rushed to an unknown hospital for treatment, while the yet-to-be-identified second victim is feared dead.

In a telephone conversation with Mega Icon Magazine, the lawmaker’s media aide, Ahmed Salami confirmed the incident, adding that his boss was responding positively to treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
