Ex-Oyo Finance Commissioner, Adekanmbi  To Register 500 Students For 2020/2021 UTME

In a bid to continue the educational legacy even when out of government, the immediate past Commissioner for Finance and Budget Planning in Oyo state,  Mr. Bimbo Adekanmbi, has expressed  his readiness to continue contributing his effort towards the development of   education in the state.

 

The ex- Commissioner also  disclosed his provisioned for over 500 qualified candidates for next year Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examination in the state.

 

“Education is the best form of legacy that can be given to children and youths, so that is why we are coming up with this opportunity to motivate them. The first set of these forms will go round the local governments within Ibadan while we prepare to extend it to other parts of the state”, he said.

Adekanmbi added that all eligible candidates from the 33 local governments in Oyo state are to benefit from this gesture, noting  that, Oyo senatorial district students have been billed to benefit from first phase of the form distributions.

 

While discussing the criteria for an applicant to be a beneficiary of the free Jamb registration form, he explained, ” it is compulsory for each applicant to possess a minimum educational qualification requirement, thereafter such candidate is required to pass a mock examination before qualified to benefit from the free JAMB form.

Adekanmbi  stressed  that, such criteria is adopted in order to encourage brilliant and indigent candidates selected for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Entrance Examination.

“After the examination, a candidate with high and qualified result from each local government will be giving a full scholarship into a Federal University of choice. To prepared the candidates for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination ( UTME ), all qualified candidates will be sponsored in two JAMB Tutorial Centres across senatorial district”, the ex – Commissioner submitted.
