A former Accord Party (AP) House of Assembly candidate for Ibadan Southwest Constituency I, in the recent 2023 general elections, Hon. Oladiran Alabi, has rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state.
Mega Icon Magazine recalled that Alabi dumped the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Accord Party (AP) alongside his teeming loyalists and supporters across the electoral wards of the state constituency.
In a statement on Wednesday, the former Accord Party (AP) chieftain explained that he decided to return to his home – the APC in the interest of his supporters, especially, his conviction that the President Bola Tinubu -led administration would improve the lot of the masses.
He assured his supporters of full inclusion in all programmes and activities of the party and government in Ibadan South West Constituency 1 and Nigeria at large.
The statement read, “We will get our own of whatever is due to us by God’s grace. I promise you that collectively, as we are coming here now, we shall push as often as possible and articulate our issue.
“My Interest in rejoining APC was borne out of good faith and in the best interest of my supporters, loyalists, and other stakeholders. I have maintained good relationships with leaders and members of APC, even while still at my former party, where I got the ticket to contest for the House of Assembly seat.
“I promise to be in line with the party, and its ardent desire to foster the freedom, prosperity, and happiness of our people in continuity to advance the cause of greatness and progress”, the statement added.
