Encomiums as Oyo Lg chief, Adegoke commissions health care centre, donates to  the physically challenged

The residents of Kube/ Atenda Community were full of praises and excitement on Tuesday as the Council Chief  of Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo state, Hon. Adedayo Adegoke commissioned a storey building health care centre for the community.

The previous four rooms facility was demolished in 2017 to pave way for this standard edifice.

In his welcome address, the chairman, Hon. Adegoke appreciated the state governor , Senator Abiola Ajimobi for appointing him first a caretaker chairman before he was elected on May, 2018. He highlighted some of his achievements which include prompt payment of salaries, healthcare delivery, infrastructures among others.

Also, in his remarks at the event, the Head of Local Government Administration, Pastor Olumuyiwa Olaoye charged the community members to safeguard the facility. He enjoined them to consider the healthcare centre as their property.

The medical director of the local council, Dr. Monday Famakinwa described the centre as a standard hospital with state- of -earth equipments, adding that the place is now available for 24-hours services.

Present at occasion were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Olalekan Kazeem, secretary, Alhaja Fadekemi Mabaje, Chief of staff, Hon. Adeboye Oyewole and the Leader of the House, Hon. Sunday Adewuyi.

Others are, Director of Education, Mrs. C. Ojo, Mrs. Biola Adedipe and Chief Matron, Mrs. Solademi.

Kube/ Atenda Community was represented by Hon. Adio Ayedun, Deacon Odeyale and other members.

 

Meanwhile, the chairman of the local government, Hon. Adebayo Adegoke had earlier donated wheelchairs, crutches and hearing aids to the physically challenged in a brief ceremony in his office.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Miss Olawumi Gbolagade thanked the chairman and prayed for the success of his administration.

The Acting Matron of Oluyole Cheshire Home, Miss Adewunmi Ojobe and the supervisor, Mr. Lateef Lawal collected the items on behalf of their centre. Political leaders, government officials and traditional leaders witnessed the occasion.
