Ekiti 2018: APC Guber aspirant warns against plan to doctor delegates’ list

As Party National Leadership promised level playing ground

AHEAD of the forthcoming governorship primary election in Ekiti State, one of the governorship aspirants under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in the state, Hon. Bimbo Daramola has warned against plan to impose delegates or manipulate delegates’ list by some aspirants. 

However, the party national leadership has promised to provide a level playing ground and conduct a primary election that is transparent, while Daramola and other candidates held the party leadership to that declaration which according to them, made by no less a man, the national chairman of the party.

The ex- Federal House of Representatives member gave this warning on Sunday in Ado Ekiti, the state capital while featuring on a private radio station.

“We agreed that anybody (delegate) who had exited the party either by death or other circumstances shall not be replaced on the delegates list. So, I don’t expect the delegates list to come with sudden replacement of people who have left the party or had died.

Speaking about his aspiration, the famous Congressman said, “I am not a new or one sided currency. 95% of Ekiti APC delegates knows me well because we have walked the same path together. I have tried as much to project the historical background of this party.

Speaking on his aspiration, the Guber hopeful said: ” my aspiration is totally transparent and on the basis of the genuine love and care I have for my State. I wear my Ekiti Identity with pride and I cannot watch anybody mess up with that and that is why I have given the best part of 18years to political struggle for the love of the people.”

He continued, “we cannot take the fate and fortune of Ekiti APC and the populace for granted once again.

“I am not a notebook but a textbook in the political history of Ekiti State. I have chapters inside of me, let everybody come out to open their own chapters”.
