A member representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Aderemi Oseni has urged Nigerians to remain steadfast amidst daunting challenges facing the country, assuring that better days lie ahead.
In a special Eid message contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by his media aide, Idowu Ayodele, and made available to journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, Oseni encouraged Nigerians to keep hope alive as the challenges will soon fade away.
The APC chieftain, also noted that no matter the challenges the country is going through now, the nation will come out stronger, adding that President Bola Tinubu has started on the right footing as he faced Nigeria’s future with renewed hope.
While felicitating adherents of the Islamic faith in his federal constituency and across the globe, the lawmaker encouraged them to embody the values of sacrifice in their daily lives, sacrificing their desires, ego, and material possessions for pleasing Allah as well as benefiting others.
He further enjoined them to continue to embrace the virtues of love, peace, unity, kindness, and sacrifice, as exemplified by the prophet of Islam during and after the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
The statement read,” I felicitate Muslims in our federal constituency for joining Muslim Umah all over the world to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir. The festival of sacrifice is indeed a fundamental Islamic practice considering its broad spiritual blessings and the lessons it comes with, which include sacrificial giving and absolute faith in Allah as demonstrated by the Prophet.
“It is expected that genuine love is shared today among both Muslims and non-Muslims in sacrificial giving and brotherliness. I pray for sustained peace, unity, prosperity, and development in our dear constituency, Oyo state, and Nigeria. I wish the entire Muslim Ummah a happy celebration.
“Meanwhile, it is also important to state that irrespective of current challenges, I am optimistic that the tide will turn for Nigeria and that our dear country will rise again. No doubt, our faith in the country has been further strengthened by President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope mandate. Nigeria is, indeed, passing through trying times, a development that requires that we all rise to tackle the menace.
“It’s time to reinforce the African spirit of brotherhood, love, solidarity, and unity. I want to urge my dear constituents and all the citizens to cooperate and support the President Bola Tinubu – led government in the task of restoring Nigeria’s lost glory, as we all have a stake in the project Nigeria”, it added.
Oseni, however, reassured the constituents of his commitment to effective representation in the lower legislative chamber.
