The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in Oyo State, Engr. Aderemi Oseni has expressed optimism about Nigeria becoming a prosperous nation, despite her current challenges.
He made this known in his goodwill message to all Muslim faithful in the federal constituency, the state, and Nigeria on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, saying Nigerians have continued to enjoy the mercies of God despite the many challenges, ranging from insecurity to socioeconomic among others.
Oseni while felicitating with the Muslim adherents, urged every Nigerian to show tolerance as that was the only way peace could reign.
The APC chieftain noted that the essence of the Sallah festival is sacrifice, obedience, love, and a time for reflection, calling on the faithful to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice for peace, unity, and progress of Nigeria.
“We need to stand united and I am optimistic that our dear Nigeria will attain greatness despite the many challenges. As we celebrate Eid-el-Kabir with our families, friends, and loved ones, we must never forget our country and its leadership in our prayers.
“This is indeed a period of sacrifice and reflection. I enjoin us all to emulate the virtues of total obedience, sacrifice in both faiths, and altruistic service as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim. No doubt, Nigeria is meant for greatness”, the statement read in part.
Oseni, who expressed confidence that the victory of evil over good is only temporary, also lauded the commitment of all Nigerians to peaceful co-existence and the unity against societal elements that have posed a threat to the peaceful existence of the nation.
While praying for a peaceful celebration, he, however, called on all Nigerians to share with their neighbours all that makes the Sallah season a special moment.
