The founder of Tegbe Foundation, Engr. Olasunkanmi Joseph Tegbe has distributed another batch of palliatives to people across the 33 local governments of Oyo State.
The distribution, which is the third since the Covid-19 pandemic hit the state coincides with the end of the holy month of Ramadan and Eid-el Fitr celebration.
No fewer than over 5,000 people benefitted from the distribution of the relief items.
Tegbe, while congratulating Muslim faithful on the completion of the Ramadan fast, urged every citizen to continue praying for Nigeria and Oyo state in particular.
“I congratulate all the Muslim faithful for the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan. May Allah answer all prayers. I urge all the people of Oyo state to continue to stay safe during this unprecedented period of COVID-19”, he said.
Speaking further, he noted that the Covid-19 pandemic has affected citizens economically and socially, adding that this has prompted the move by the foundation to distribute food items across the state.
The APC chieftain reiterated the importance of supporting the people of the state with food items as good nutrition improves individual immune system which is crucial in fighting the pandemic.
