A Non – Governmental Organisation (NGO) under the aegis of VMA Foundation has distributed exercise books worth over N500,000 to public primary and secondary schools in Oke-Oro Ekiti, Ekiti state. The Foundation owned by Chief Victor Mobolaji, an international businessman, also offers medical outreach, educational services, vocational training, agricultural and economic empowerment to the aged and less privileged in the society.
Founder of the organisation, Chief Mobolaji informed that the gesture is to support the less privileged and indigent students whose parents could barely afford school materials.
“It gives us great pleasure to support the students in Oke Oro, we consider educating the younger ones to be a top priority. The more we can support programmes that enrich their educational experiences, the better”.
He disclosed further that the foundation has also spent millions of Naira on economic empowerment and health care services to support people with health challenges in the country.
Chief Mobolaji, however promised that the foundation will not relent in its efforts to better the lives of the people around, just as he urged others to replicate such gesture.
Remarking, the Owa of Oke Oro Ekiti, Oba Alex Adebukola Aina lauded Mobolaji for his gesture, urging him to continue to be a good ambassador of the community.
“We are proud of you, your gesture will go a long way in assisting the younger ones who are the future of the community and I want to urge you to continue your good deed”, he said.
