Democracy Day: It’s Official, Buhari Finally Signs June 12 Bill Into Law

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has signed June 12 bill into law.

Presidential aide on National Assembly matters, Senator Ita Enang informed the  state house correspondents that with the assent to the amendment, May 29 is no more a public holiday.

Buhari assented to the Public Holiday Amendment Act, declaring June 12 of every year a public holiday and Democracy Day.
