Where there is no law, no crime, they say. The eve of 2015 Christmas was totally unfavorable to some set of girls who were reportedly nabbed by the men of the Nigeria Police at a gathering suspected to be a lesbian party.
Before now, the police had warned that any party meant to promote homosexuality in the state would be seriously frowned at, reiterating that anyone caught in the act would be fervently dealt with.
But some girls have turned deaf ears to this warning and still went ahead to have a party as they have so much got into the act of lesbianism beyond control. They are currently facing the consequences.
It all dawned on a group of lesbians who had scheduled a party at the popular Eleko Beach, Lagos Island, on the 24th December, 2015. The party, which was meant to gather lesbians and have fun and to also introduce the act to other girls, was reportedly spearheaded by one Olajumoke Bimpe, who seemed to be their gang leader.
Meanwhile, following a tip off, the Police invaded the party, where these suspects were said to have been practising lesbianism.
According to an eye witness, the girls were caught unaware as they had been lost in the fun when the party was instantly disrupted.
Despite the effort of the Police to put all in the net, the party convener, Olajumoke Bimpe, and a few others managed to escape the scene the Police have stated via its Public Relations Officer.
According to the Police, those arrested at the scene were: Adegunju Toyin, Omobori Bisi, Adegoke Wummy, Onala Joy, Nnamdi Nkechi, Odunfa Daramola, Durojaiye Tosin, Olawale Opeyemi, Williams Bidemi, Bamitale Olamide, and a few others still at large.
One of the girls, Adegoke Wummy, confessed that she was invited by her lover, Olajumoke Bimpe, the suspected leader of the lesbians and convener of the party, to celebrate the end of the year with other lesbian friends.
Meanwhile, the Police have maintained that investigation was still ongoing to ensure that others were nabbed, while Olajumoke Bimpe was declared wanted by the Police for interrogation.
