The Lagos Coroner, Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi, is currently investigating the tragic passing of the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.
In connection with this inquiry, music artists Abdulazeez Fashola, also recognised as Naira Marley, Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, and Owodunni Ibrahim, who goes by the name Primeboy, have been summoned for questioning regarding the 27-year-old artist’s death.
These artists are required to appear before the court during the next session scheduled for October 25.
During the investigation, two police officers, Investigating Police Officer Oderinde-Gafar Ajibola and Muhammed Yusuf, both affiliated with the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti, Yaba, provided their findings.
They stated that there was no evidence of assault by Naira Marley and Sam Larry on Mohbad, and no discernible link between the nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, who administered an injection to Mohbad, and the two artists.
It’s important to note that the coroner was advised that an autopsy to determine the exact cause of Mohbad’s death is still pending.
In response, the coroner has instructed the officers to ensure the presence of the summoned music artists at the next adjourned court date as the investigation continues.
