Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, (BCOS), has struck an agreement with Ambiance Media Limited to stage in Ibadan, the maiden Nigerian athletic fiesta .
The Memorandum of Understanding, (MoU) for the all inclusive fitness event tagged “Ere Ije Ibadan 2022” was mutually signed by the partnering teams at the VIP lounge of BCOS, Bashorun Ibadan on Thursday.
Also, the Oyo State Ministry of Youth and Sports is expected to provide technical support for the championship.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Coordinator of the event, Mr. Adebayo George informed that Ambiance Media settled for the choice of Ibadan due to her uncommon tourist attractions in the Sub-Saharan Africa.
According to him, “we want to bring the entire world to Ibadan, showcasing the ancient and recent tourist heritage and beauties of the city including but not limited to Cocoa House, Mapo Hall, Liberty Stadium, Adamasingba Stadium, Agodi Gardens, Bower Towers and many others”.
George noted that hosting of the competition billed for March 2022 would stimulate the social and economic fortunes of the city with lot of interests and attentions to be attracted globally.
Remarking, the Executive Chairman of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, (BCOS), Prince Dotun Oyelade lauded the Ambiance Media team for the unique concept and partnership.
He said the station keyed into the maiden programme as part of its Corporate Social Responsibilities so as to partake in the youth and social development.
The event had in attendance, Mrs. Olubisi Adegoke, the Director of Sports Administration from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mrs. Omolade Adesokan, the Managing Director, Ambiance Media Limited and other notable members from all the partnering groups.
