“I already have the door open” – Sergio Ramos tell Neymar

Sergio Ramos says the door is open for Neymar to leave Paris Saint-Germain and join Real Madrid.

Brazil superstar Neymar, 25, traded in Barcelona for the French capital in the summer, joining PSG in a £200million deal.

However, despite lighting up the Parc des Princes since his arrival, there have already been a number of reports that the Brazilian has already grown somewhat disillusioned with life in Ligue 1.

Neymar is said to be unhappy with life under Unai Emery and playing in the French league – he missed the weekend thumping of Angers, not due to injury, days after playing and scoring against Anderlecht in the Champions League.

There have also been questions over his relationships with other players – notably Edinson Cavani – and whether his attitude is proving divisive in the dressing room.

As such, he has been linked already with a return to Spain, and with the reigning Spanish and European champions.

And according to Ramos, he would be welcomed with open arms, despite his Barcelona past.

The Madrid captain told Cadena Ser: “I like to have the best and it’s clear Neymar is one of them.

“Maybe it was easier for him to go to PSG, instead of directly to Real Madrid. They are personal decisions, you never know what can happen because football goes around a lot.

“I already have the door open for him if he wants to come. I also have a good relationship with him.”

There have been suggestions that Los Blancos see Neymar as a long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo – who turns 33 in February.

They see the worldwide marketing appeal of the Brazilian as great enough to be able to fill the gap that Ronaldo would leave, while it is also felt in some quarters that he is next in line to the ‘best player in the world’ mantle, when Ronaldo and Lionel Messi eventually make their respective exits from the world game.
