Alexis Sanchez’s astronomical Man United wages broken down as Arsenal star nears £35m move to Old Trafford

Alexis Sanchez is nearing a stunning move to Manchester United with the Arsenal star’s wages set to sky rocket once he signs for the Red Devils.

The Chilean has reportedly agreed a £56m, four-and-a-half year contract with United, according to the Telegraph .

While the Gunners must accept a fee, it is seen as a formality with United willing to match the £35m asking price—despite the player’s contract set to expire this summer.

The key to the move will be whether Henrikh Mkhitaryan moves in the opposite direction, with the Armenian yet to be receptive to being included in the move.

Should Mkhitaryan finally agree, Sanchez is in line to become one of the world’s highest paid players alongside Lionel Messi, following his extension at Barcelona last year.

The Argentinian banked an £80m signing on bonus, alongside a £500,000 per week wage packet and Sanchez will not be far behind.

So the 29-year-old will earn £14m per year after tax – here’s how it all breaks down:

Per year before presumed 45 percent tax: £25.5m

Per month before tax: £2.1m

Per week before tax: £490,000

Per day before tax: £70,000

Per hour before tax: £2,900

Per minute before tax: £48

Per second before tax: 80p
