Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Adeolu Akande has urged privileged people in the society to help the needy during this Christmas celebration.
The NCC chairman, in a statement in Ibadan after the donation of food items to Ibadan juvenile correctional home by Adeolu Akande Foundation, admonished christians to show love and compassion to one another during this festive period.
“I urge all well meaning people in the society to share whatever God has given them to the needy. We should imbibe the spirit of giving and make life meaningful for the less privileged.
“As we are celebrating Christmas with our family members and loved ones, we should remember the poor among us who do not have the wherewithal to celebrate Christmas”, the statement said.
While wishing the people of Oyo State and Nigerians in general a merry Christmas celebration, the APC governorship aspirant charged everyone to be moderate in the way they celebrate during this yuletide.
He also advised motorists to avoid overspeeding during this festive period.
