Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande has mourned the death of His Royal Highness, Oba Abdulazeez Adewuyi Aribiyan II, the Asigangan of Igangan.
The Oyo APC guber hopeful in a condolence message in Ibadan expressed deep sorrow over the passage of the traditional ruler, another custodian of Yoruba tradition and culture ten days after the demise of the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi.
“It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the death of the Asigangan of Igangan land, Oba Abdulazeez Adewuyi,a foremost traditional ruler in Ibarapa North local government.
“I sympathise with the family of the monarch, the entire sons and daughters of Igangan and the traditional council in Ibarapa zone of the state on this great loss. The late monarch no doubt contributed immensely to return peace and order to his town. His people will sorely miss his guidance and wise counsel”, Akande lamented.
He prayed for the repose of the soul of the monarch.
