Akande congratulate UI, LAUTECH for positions as Nigeria’s best universities

Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission(NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande has congratulated the Management, Staff and Students of the University of Ibadan and  Ladoke Akintola University, (LAUTECH) ,Ogbomoso on the latest ranking of the institutions as the best university and  state university in Nigeria respectively.

Akande in a statement in Ibadan lauded the  Vice-Chancellors, management team and the entire staff of the two Universities for their meticulous and unrelenting efforts in maintaining excellence at the institutions.

The statement read, “This latest ranking of UI and  LAUTECH by the Nigerian Universities Commission as the best Universities  in Nigeria did not just come on a platter of gold. It is a result of painstaking  collective efforts to sustain the visions of the founding fathers of the institutions. I enjoin you all to work harder to stay at the top”.

The Don, who himself is an alumus of the University of Ibadan also commended the alumni and friends of the university for their contributions to the growth of the institution.

He commended the sense of community among the alumni of LAUTECH and prayed for its continuation.

“Now, that LAUTECH is solely owned by Oyo State, I urge the management to continue to raise the bar and ensure standards are maintained in the Ivory tower”, the statement added.
