Adeolu Akande greets Christians at Easter

The Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande has felicitated with Christians on the Easter season.

In a statement  released in Ibadan by his media office, Professor Akande said the Easter is with celebrating for anyone who is alive at this time, given what humanity has witnessed since the beginning of the Corona Virus pandemic.

Akande said hundreds of thousands of people have died since the beginning of the pandemic and that who ever has the grace to be alive should be grateful to God for His grace.

“We are not alive because we are wise or pius but by the special grace of God. This occasion therefore calls for thansgiving on the part of everyone who is alive”, the statement said.

The APC chieftain who noted that Nigeria is presently going through trying times implored the people of Oyo State to use the occasion to pray for God’s intervention to restore peace and normalcy in the country.

He said the Easter is a symbolic occasion when Christians should pray to God that every good thing that is dead in the lives of Nigerians should rise.
