Adeolu Akande and Oyo Project 2023 | By Alli Egbesola

Leadership transcends the charisma, to examine the capacity, that makes any individual suitable for a specific position. He who wants to lead should know what it entails as a whole. That should be the template of a society that truly wants to progress.

Their past and present are veritable ingredients to plan and have a good future. Oyo is a unique state. Anybody that wants to truly lead the state must be a person that has versatile knowledge of governance.

Professor Adeolu Akande, (PhD) the current Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Nigerian Communications Commission and former Chairman of Board of National Information Technology Development Agency,(NITDA), is a typical organic leader that our state, Oyo needs at this material time, to truly progress.

Prof. Adeolu Akande is a clear-headed leader and a resourceful helmsman that Oyo genuinely needs comes 2023. He has served in different capacities, he has worked in the Presidency. He is a former Chief of Staff to His Excellency, Sen. Isiaq Abiola Ajimonbi (Mr. Efficiency), indeed, for one to have worked with “Bami Akanji” you must have been a brain in a particular field of endeavour (if not many).

Prof. Adeolu Akande is an eminent academic, an exemplary professional and a core humanist. A substantial part of Prof. Adeolu Akande’s exsistence on Earth has been his service to Oyo-State/Nigeria and her people, as a veteran journalist, erudite lecturer and influential public servant.

Prof.Adeolu Akande is the founder of “Adeolu Akande Foundation – a non-profit organization with the vision of promoting the dignity of individual and advancing the cause of humanity; rather than a mere “give away philanthropy”, the foundation invests in people through scholarships, seed funding, “YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND SKILLS ACQUISITION” among other laudable initiatives.

Yes, when duty calls, experience counts, Oyo state must be at a truly safe hand , “general silly mistake” should not be made again by entrusting the state to conservative hands come 2023. Oyo State needs a purposeful leader who sincerely believes in the “Future” and the future are the youth.

Prof. Adeolu Akande recorded most of his achievements at youthful age, no wonder, Prof. Adeolu always encourages youth, aides their empowerment and initiates vocational skills acquisition.

I am a conscious youth and I’m proud to say it that Prof. Adeolu Akande is a core humanist with youth-oriented mindset, views and actions. He has empowered youth via various opportunities that he has made available to them. He has done it in the past and he will do it more better again. In him I see the glorious and prosperous Oyo state that people want.

“Progressive Oyo state come 2023, Prof. Adeolu Akande is the answer.”

Let’s all send him to govern our ideal state, Oyo, as a philosopher-king that we have been looking for.
