Abuja: Police Interrogate Coza Senior Pastor, Fatoyinbo

Following allegations of rape leveled against him by Busola, a photographer and wife of popular singer, Timi Dakolo, the Founder and Senior Of Commonwealth Of Zion Assembly (COZA), Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo is currently being interrogated by detectives from the Nigerian Police.

Mr Frank Mba, the Force Spokesman, confirmed that the clergyman is being grilled at the force criminal investigation department in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Fatoyinbo is facing the interrogation, two months after Mrs Dakolo, accused him of raping her twice when she was a teenager.

The pastor dismissed Dakolo’s allegation as false and subsequently stepped down from the pulpit after calls for the case to be investigated mounted.

Pastor Fatoyinbo had last week given reasons for boycotting the panel set up by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) to investigate the matter.

He explained in a statement that he clearly told the leadership of the PFN, that he would not honor the invitation based on legal advice and that he would rather wait for the result of the police investigation into the matter.
