A Legacy of Leadership, Impact – Rep Oseni Hails Ladoja at 80

Engr. Aderemi Oseni, the lawmaker representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), has joined prominent figures across Nigeria in celebrating the 80th birthday of former Oyo State Governor, Oba Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja.

In a statement released on Wednesday by his media aide, Idowu Ayodele, Oseni paid tribute to the elder statesman, lauding his resilience, humility, and leadership excellence, while noting his significant contributions to Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

“Oba Rasidi Ladoja is not just a former governor but a distinguished leader whose impact transcends political boundaries. His dedication to the development of Oyo State, particularly in education, infrastructure, and rural advancement, has set a governance benchmark that continues to inspire generations,” Oseni remarked.

The lawmaker also emphasised Ladoja’s profound influence on younger leaders, acknowledging his mentorship and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.

“As we celebrate his 80th birthday, it is essential to recognise his pivotal role in fostering unity and progress, not only within Oyo State but throughout Nigeria.”

Oba Ladoja, who served as Governor of Oyo State from 2003 to 2007, remains a central figure in Nigerian politics and a staunch advocate for grassroots development. His transition to traditional leadership as the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland further highlights his enduring connection to the people and culture of Oyo State.

Praising Ladoja’s enduring legacy, he added, “His leadership remains a guiding force, and I am honored to join countless Nigerians in celebrating a life of service, dignity, and achievement.”

Oseni prayed for Ladoja’s continued health and wisdom, saying, “At 80, you continue to inspire us all. May your years ahead be filled with even greater wisdom, peace, and fulfillment as you continue to serve your people and your country.”
