58- year-old pastor prosecuted for defiling a 7-year-old minor in Ibadan

A 58-year old Pastor, Mr Francis Abayomi was prosecuted for allegedly defiling one Akinpelu Emmanuella (F) 7 years Old on November 25,2020 at Kutamiti Street off Bashorun Expressway Ibadan, according to the Oyo State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Thursday.

The Magistrate in Charge of Family Court 1 Iyaganku Ibadan, SH Adebisi ordered that the Suspect should be remanded in NSCDC Custody at the State Headquater Agodi Ibadan and adjourned the Case till 25 January 2021.

The Suspect was allegedly defile the Victim without her Consent and thereby Committed an Offence contrary to section 34(1) and Punishable Under Section 34 (2) of the Oyo State Child Right Law 2006.

Meanwhile Oyo State Command Anti Human trafficking Unit attended to 343 cases in 2020 ranges from Child trafficking, Child abuse,child labour and street children,Rape and Defilement child in need of Care and Protection,physical assault and Domestic violence.

The State’s Commandant of NSCDC has frown at issue of rape,defilement,incent and all form of abuse on child and female gender, he however warn members of the public who engage in such act to desist from it or face the full wrath of the law and without compromise.
