House of Representatives member, Hon. Aderemi Oseni, has declared that the Remi Oseni Committee of Friends (ROCOF) will mobilise massively to secure President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 and return the All Progressives Congress (APC) to power in Oyo State.

Oseni, who is also the President of ROCOF, spoke on Saturday at the group’s Ido Local Government Assembly, where over 10,000 members converged in Ibadan.

The lawmaker noted that barely eight weeks after its inauguration in Ibadan, the movement had recorded over 265,000 registered members across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State, describing it as “one of the fastest-rising political forces in the Southwest and Nigeria.”

He said, “From zero, we now have 265,000 members. By December, we will cross 500,000. This shows that the people are hungry for change and ready to embrace a new future. President Tinubu is coming back in 2027, and Oyo State will deliver him resoundingly.”

Oseni praised the President’s reforms, citing the removal of fuel subsidy fraud, improved state revenues, enhanced agricultural productivity, and better access to finance for small businesses. He also lauded the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), describing it as “a bold intervention that is giving hope to millions of students who can now pursue higher education without financial barriers.”

The lawmaker further announced a ₦50m intervention package for traders in Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, aimed at boosting small businesses and strengthening grassroots economic activities. “Our traders are the heartbeat of local commerce. This support will help them grow and expand their businesses,” he added.

On the political situation in Oyo, the Chairman, House Committee on Federal Roads Maintenance Agency stressed that the state must not remain in opposition, insisting that only alignment with the Federal Government would guarantee accelerated development.

“Oyo APC will return in 2027 — stronger, united and ready to deliver dividends of democracy to our people,” he said.

The ROCOF leader also unveiled a new scholarship initiative for youths, tagged the “ROCOF University Scholarship Scheme,” under which students who score at least five distinctions in WAEC and gain admission into higher institutions will enjoy free tuition from entry to graduation.

“Our youths are leaders of tomorrow. Education is the bedrock of progress, and we will continue to invest in them,” he added.

The assembly, which Oseni described as his “homecoming of destiny,” was attended by traditional rulers, APC chieftains, artisans, women and youth groups, and thousands of grassroots supporters.
