A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and former aide to the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, Mr Asaolu Dada Emmanuel, has declared that the lawmaker representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency, Engr Aderemi Oseni, remains the best and most preferred option for the party in the 2027 governorship election.
Asaolu, who spoke from the diaspora in a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday, described the lawmaker—who also serves as Chairman, House Committee on Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA)—as a visionary leader with the pedigree and administrative competence to reposition Oyo State.
He noted that the state requires a pragmatic, people-centred and development-driven personality like Oseni to build on the progressive legacies of the party and rescue the state from what he termed the “underwhelming performance” of the PDP-led administration.
According to him, “Hon Oseni is not just a grassroots politician with a deep understanding of the people’s needs, he is also a seasoned administrator and a patriotic Nigerian whose achievements speak volumes in both the public and private sectors.”
He added that Oseni’s ongoing interventions through FERMA, especially on federal roads across the state, are a testament to his commitment to service and the wellbeing of the people.
“Our party, the APC, needs a candidate who commands respect across all divides and is capable of uniting stakeholders. Engr Oseni fits perfectly into this role. He is accessible, credible and experienced. He is the man Oyo needs in 2027,” Asaolu stated.
As the 2027 governorship race begins to take shape, Asaolu urged the leadership of the APC in the state to rally behind Oseni, whom he described as a symbol of hope, integrity and genuine progress for the people of Oyo State.
