2023: Pro-Tinubu group plans grassroots mobilisation in Southwest

A group, the Next Level Consolidation Forum (NLCF) says it has concluded plans to kick off a mass mobilisation at all the local governments, wards and polling units in the Southwest for the actualization of Bola Tinubu’s presidential aspiration ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The support group during its Southwest Strategic meeting held at the Bodija, Ibadan residence of the national coordinator, Barrister Oladosu Oladipo also promised to deliver 80% votes in the zone for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate.

The meeting had In attendance, the former Minister for Communication, and national coordinator of Tinubu/Shettima for Good Governance, Barrister Bayo Shittu, Oyo, Ogun, Lagos, Ekiti, Osun and Ondo states’ coordinators.

Briefing newsmen on Wednesday, the group’s National Coordinator, Barrister Oladosu Oladipo, noted that Tinubu is the best among all the candidates eyeing to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as unique.

According to Oladosu, the former Lagos State governor is a leader with a national outlook, a detribalised, competent, courageous politician and statesman, adding that his knack to discover talents is legendary and that his stewardship in Lagos, reveals that he has the experience, capability and mental resources to lead a diverse and multi-ethnic Nigeria to the promised land.

“It is Yoruba’s turn to produce the next president of the country and we are mobilising both the young and old to ensure Tinubu emerges as president on February 25th, 2023. Tinubu is from the South West zone and we can’t afford to let him down, that is why we have commenced a house-to-house mobilisation to market his presidency.

“He has mentored many political juggernauts across the country and we can all see his achievements in Lagos State where he served as governor for eight years”, said Oladosu.

He further disclosed that the group already had state coordinators in all 36 States, including the Federal Capital Territory, adding that there are also zonal coordinators in the six geo-political zones.

Also commenting, the Southwest Coordinator of the group, Hon. Popoola Adesina informed that the sole aim of the group is to ensure Tinubu becomes the next president of the country.

Adesina, who is the Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Environment disclosed that the forum has kickstarted mobilisation of over 2 million of its members across the zone towards the victory of the APC candidate.

“We are mobilising ourselves at the grassroots and we didn’t collect a time from anybody. We see him as the best among all the candidates and we are giving him our total support. We will ensure he emerges as the next president in 2023,” Governor Abiodun’s aide declared.
