2023: Oseni priotises key issues for constituents

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ibarapa East / Ido Federal Constituency in Oyo State, Engr. Aderemi Oseni says he would prioritise a broad range of issues that affect the constituency if given the mandate.

Oseni recently shared his views on how best his constituents can tap into developmental programmes he would introduce through bills and motions in the green chamber during his consultation visit to Ifesowapo/ Anuoluwapo/ Orelope /Tapa/Ifelodun communities in Ido Local Government.

The APC chieftain, who promised to improve the living condition of members of his constituency, however, stated that he would engage other critical stakeholders in his strive to make the federal constituency an economic and agricultural hub even as he indicated his determination to partner with the relevant government agencies on the improvements of education standard in the communities.

“It is important to note that the well-being of my constituents is topmost in my plan, even as I promised to initiate legislative instruments that will attract people-oriented projects to every nook and cranny of Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency ”.

Speaking on agriculture, the candidate believed that the Ibarapa East and Ido local governments axis of Oyo state remains a leading producer of agricultural produce, advocating a synergy between the government and farmers in the communities for the much-needed agricultural revolution.

“I will encourage farmers in my constituency as well as ensure that they are well equipped with the necessary capacity-building programmes and support to improve their proficiency and economic status”.

To ensure the economic development of the federal constituency, Oseni said he would support investments, and vocational skills to help create jobs for the youths and do a great deal of empowerment for women and the aged.

The APC stalwart believes strongly in investing more in education than what is presently obtained.

He promised to seek and get the support of his colleagues in the house of representatives to ensure that the sector gets its rightful allocation in the budget.

Oseni said, “education as a bedrock of development needs to receive special attention. In that wise, with the support of other like-minded lawmakers, we will encourage the government to do more to improve the quality of education by ensuring that the sector receives the 26 per cent budget as recommended by UNESCO and other necessary attention it deserved.”

The structural engineer and businessman noted that many people of the constituency are being denied access to basic healthcare services, including preventive services due to cost.

He promised to remove the obstacles by collaborating with the government and other relevant agencies in giving quality affordable health care systems.
