Ex-aide to late Governor Abiola Ajimobi , Ganiat Lawore, better known as ‘Omo Oku Orun’ has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) State House of Assembly primary in Ibadan South East Constituency II.

Olawore, the only woman in the race, who contested against seven other aspirants for the seat secured 14 votes, while her closest rival, Okiki Adebolu polled 6 votes.
Also, Sikiru Ali scored 5 votes, as other contenders including Akeem Dollar and Warith Adegoke struggled to share 3 votes.
Shortly after the election, Olawore, who was elated over the outcome of the primaries thanked the party leadership and members for trusting her with their mandate.
She further pledged to raise the bar of political representation in the State constituency.
