The cracks on the walls of the opposition All Progressives Congress, (APC), in Oyo state widened, on Friday, barely 24 hours to its national convention.
A faction of the APC in Oyo state swore in Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi, as parallel chairman of the party.
The swearing-in ceremony, according to the information scooped from Newspeakonline, was held at Trans Wonderland Plc, better known as Amusement Park, Bodija, Ibadan.
It was also learnt that police took over the party’s permanent secretariat at Oke-Ado, in Ibadan, last night.
Presently, Oyo APC looks not too serious in its bid to reclaim the Agodi Government House in the forthcoming election as tension continued to unsettle the party following the emergence of controversial exco members during its Ward, Local and State congresses.
Since then, the unity among the party members in the state chapter of the party had split with the aggrieved factional members threatening to ensure that their exco members are recognised as the authentic.
