THE Interim National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ahmed Markarfi has allayed ex-Oyo Governor, Rashidi Ladoja, Engineer Seyi Makinde fears as he resolved to carry out a fresh registration of party members which is expected to usher in a new leadership for the controversial opposition party.
Markarfi, who maintained that the party would continue to resist any form of impunity, made this disclosure in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital recently during the party’s reconciliatory team visit to its ex – chieftains.
He added that there will be constitution amendment to back up such decision.
In his words, “ we put everything on hold in Oyo state so as to ensure proper integration of both old and new members and as soon as that is achieved , there will be fresh registration of all members at all levels.”
“ As soon as the registration is done, there will be fresh congresses at all levels and everything will be perfect, we will not allow any form of impunity, there will be constitution amendment to back up our decision.
“We are here to return you back into your base so that we can restore the lost glory of the party and return the country to the path of greatness”, he said.
