LEADER of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in Oyo state, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja on Monday commenced the campaign tour of the party with Egbeda Local Government, where he affirmed the authenticity of Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku as the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) candidate for Ibadan Northwest/Ibadan Southwest Federal Constituency.
According to the former Governor of Oyo state, Ajanaku is the recognized and duly nominated candidate of the party for the House of Representatives election in the constituency.
Meanwhile, the ‘Team Best Option’, the political group of Otunba Ajanaku has expressed its gratitude to former Governor Ladoja for all his fatherly supports.
“We equally use this medium to implore the teeming supporters of Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku to remain resolute and unshaken in their support. They should not be distracted by the antics of the state government and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), who are hell-bent in incarcerating our ‘symbol of hope’. Their plans to silence and prevent him from contesting the February 16 elections has been exposed and God willing ,Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku’s victory at polls is assured”.
The team, however, urged the electorate in its constituency to disregard all forms of rumours and speculations that Otunba Ajanaku is not contesting again but be more prepared to actualise his mandate by collecting their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) from INEC and keep them safe, assuring that he would not disappoint them.
The team continued, ” the voting population of Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency must refuse to be intimidated but should go all out to vote en masse for Zenith Labour Party, (ZLP) in the fast approaching elections”.
