THE Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olagunju Ojo has called on eligible voters in the state who are yet to collect their Permanent Voters’ Cards, (PVCs) to get their unclaimed cards on time, saying its the only means of voting for candidates of their choice in the next general elections.
Hon Ojo made this call in Ikoyi-Ile during a general meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area, stressing that any voter who fails to collect his/her PVC would be disfranchised during 2019 general elections.
The speaker noted that the ongoing Continuous Voter’s Registration, CVR, offers opportunity to those who are yet to register for PVCs.

He called on all local government chairmen in the area to sensitize residents most especially eligible voters to get their PVCs.
According to him, ” the continuous voters registration would be suspended next month, hence the need for our people to make use of the opportunity to register their names on time so as to participate in the 2019 general elections”.
The Speaker who was on a visit to Ogbomoso after addressing the APC Meeting at Ikoyi Ile later featured on a live radio programme.
While answering questions on a live radio programme in Ogbomoso the number one legislator in the state explained that the Oyo State House of Assembly will not relent in its onerous task of making laws that will improve the living standard of the people.

Ojo who also solicited support for Governor Abiola Ajimobi administration in the state informed that the APC led government is working round the clock to move the state to its pace setting status.
In his words, “the task of making Oyo state a better and secured state can not be left in the hands of government alone hence the need for people to contribute their quota towards the advancement of the state”.
Hon Olagunju Ojo assured that the 8th Assembly under his watch would continue to make laws that will impact positively on the lives of people of the state.
