Hon Olatoye who was representing Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency was killed on Saturday March 9 after performing his civic responsibilities in the governorship and state house of Assembly elections.

The delegations led by the Speaker, Honourable Olagunju Ojo was at the Alakia residence of the parent of the late lawmaker, Olatoye.

According to Hon Olagunju, the vacuum left behind by the deceased will be difficult to fill, but prayed to God to give the family fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The number one legislator in the state, Olagunju also described the late lawmaker as a grassroot politician who had contributed positively to the development of the Akinyele- Lagelu federal constituency.

During his legislative activities at the 7th Oyo Assembly, it is on record that late Honourable Temitope Olatoye Sugar gave proper representation to the people of Lagelu state constituency.

The late federal lawmaker is survived by his parent, brothers, wives and children.

Hon Temitope Olatoye, popularly addressed as Sugar, representing Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency in the House of Representative, Abuja gave this advise while reacting to the release of the Six kidnapped Igbonla College Students in Ondo state.

Congratulating the parents of the students and Lagos state government, he noted that there is no better time to strengthen security in the zone than now.

The federal lawmaker maintained that security collaboration with the region is essential for adequate response to criminal activities within the region.

According to him, such security measure would have reduced the number of days these students spent in captivity of the kidnappers.

Commending the intervention of the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and other federal and state security agencies as well as Nigerians for their efforts toward the release of the students, the lawmaker, however called for Southwest security summit where issues about the security of the zone shall be discussed extensively.

The ‘Breakfast Media Chat’, billed for Thursday, 30th March 2017 will hold at the group’s temporary Headquarters located within the CEO Africa Building, Onireke, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.

Honourable Temitope Olatoye Sugar, a member of the House of Representatives represent Lagelu/ Akinyele Federal constituency.

The event billed for 8:30 a.m will hold at the group’s temporary Headquarters located within the CEO Africa Building, Jericho, Ibadan.

According to a press statement signed by its publicist, Remi Oladoye, stated that the Chairman, House of Reps Committee on Urban and Regional Planning, Honourable Olatoye  would use the occasion to highlight some of  the activities of his committee and developments in the sector, and also an opportunity to enumerates his  successes as a member of the House of Representatives.

Born in 1973, the lawmaker served as a Special Adviser in Oyo State between 2005 and 2007. He was also the Chairman, Oyo State House of Assembly’s Committee on Commerce between 2011 and 2015 before occupying the present seat.
