The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday dismissed the inauguration of a Peoples Democratic Party caretaker committee by supporters of Kabiru Turaki, describing the move as fraudulent and misleading.

Wike warned Nigerians against what he termed an attempt to create confusion within the party, insisting that there is only one authentic Peoples Democratic Party with its national secretariat at Wadata House, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

Speaking on the development, the former Rivers State governor maintained that the caretaker committee set up by Turaki and his loyalists was an effort to deceive the public, stressing that there was no leadership vacuum in the party.

He said, “You have refused to tell the public what is on ground, and you are coming out to say ‘we are setting up a caretaker committee’, how? And you are deceiving people that you want to sell form.

“I dare them, let me see an office you will name PDP national secretariat. If you say you are a party, go and put a sign ‘PDP national secretariat’ just as we are occupying Wadata, that is where everybody knows as PDP national secretariat.

“If you are saying that you want to sell form, to whom? You will submit it where? Is that not fraud? You went to court, we didn’t go to court, and the court gave judgment against you.

“You have not set aside that judgment and you are now coming to deceive people by setting up a caretaker committee and begin to sell forms. Is that not fraud? What is 419?”

Wike further stated that the recent PDP convention held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, and witnessed by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, remained the only legitimate convention of the party, which produced the current National Working Committee.

Turaki bloc insists on interim leadership
Meanwhile, the crisis took a new turn on Monday as the Board of Trustees of the PDP, led by Adolphus Wabara, appointed a 13-member interim National Working Committee for the party.

Wabara said the decision was in line with the party’s constitution, arguing that a recent Supreme Court judgment, which upheld the nullification of the Ibadan convention, created a leadership vacuum within the PDP.

The interim committee is headed by Turaki, a former Minister of Special Duties.

The decision followed a National Executive Committee meeting convened by the Turaki-led bloc at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.

Notable stakeholders present at the meeting included the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde; former Niger State governor, Babangida Aliyu; ex-Minister of Information, Jerry Gana; Wabara; Turaki; and former Minister of Women Affairs, Zainab Maina, among others.

The group also declared that the Abuja convention which produced the Abdulrahman Mohammed-led National Working Committee of the PDP was null and void.

The latest development signals a deepening leadership crisis within the main opposition party, raising concerns over its internal cohesion ahead of future political contests.

The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, has dismissed allegations that he received money from proxies of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to facilitate the impeachment of Governor Seyi Makinde, describing the claim as false, malicious and politically motivated.

Ogundoyin, in a strongly worded statement on Tuesday, said no money exchanged hands at any meeting, insisting that the allegation was a calculated attempt to tarnish his image and create disaffection within the state’s political leadership.

He said, “I was presented with juicy offers and opportunities, but I declined without hesitation because nothing can sway my conscience or weaken my loyalty to the governor, the party, and the people we were elected to serve. I remain fully committed to upholding the integrity of this House and will not be part of any agenda aimed at destabilising the government we built.”

The Speaker stressed that he would never betray the mandate of the people or undermine the administration of Makinde, noting that his loyalty to the governor and the ruling party remained unwavering.

He reaffirmed that no individual or group would succeed in driving a wedge between him and the executive arm or derail the collective mandate entrusted to them by the electorate.

Ogundoyin further stated that under his leadership, the Assembly remained committed to constitutional order, legislative independence, and good governance in the interest of the people of Oyo State.

He added that he had consistently carried the governor along in his official engagements, maintaining a cordial working relationship focused on delivering democratic dividends to residents of the state.

On a separate allegation linking his visit to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja, to political scheming, the Speaker clarified that the visit was purely consultative and not connected to any impeachment plot.

According to him, the meeting with the monarch took place weeks earlier and was in line with tradition, as he formally informed the revered ruler of his governorship ambition and sought his blessings.

He urged the public to disregard what he described as baseless insinuations, warning that such narratives were designed to cause unnecessary tension and division within the state’s political space.

The embattled Governor Seyi Makinde-led Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has plunged into a deepening crisis following a controversial declaration granting automatic tickets to serving lawmakers—a move that has unsettled party leaders, disrupted political alignments, and triggered a scramble for alternative positions ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The decision, announced at a pivotal stakeholders’ meeting convened by the governor at the government secretariat in Ibadan weeks ago, was expected to provide clarity on the party’s internal challenges, particularly its festering supremacy battle with the faction aligned to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, but instead opened a new fault line within the party.

Multiple sources present at the meeting told Mega Icon Magazine that expectations were high that Governor Makinde would reassure party leaders on efforts to stabilise the PDP and strengthen its position ahead of the next electoral cycle, but his pronouncement endorsing incumbents at both the state and National Assembly levels came as a shock, leaving many stakeholders disillusioned.

A senior party figure, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the governor’s position had “upturned existing political calculations across the state,” noting that several aspirants who had invested heavily in their ambitions were abruptly shut out of the race. “What was expected to be a reconciliatory and strategic meeting ended up creating fresh tension. Many leaders left more uncertain than they arrived,” the source said.

The immediate effect of the declaration has been a wave of political recalibrations across key constituencies, including Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency, where aspirants who had been preparing for the House of Representatives contest have now been forced to abandon their plans.

Among those affected is a former council boss and lawmaker, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, who had stepped down during the 2023 elections and was widely tipped to re-contest, but has now reportedly shifted his focus to the Oyo South Senatorial District, a development party insiders linked directly to the closure of opportunities created by the automatic ticket arrangement. A similar trend is unfolding in Ibadan North, where a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dada Awoleye, has also joined the growing list of aspirants for the senatorial seat, while former lawmaker, Gbede Aderemi Waheed and the Chairman of Ibadan North West Local Government, Hon. Rahmon Adepoju, among others have equally indicated interest, further intensifying competition in the senatorial district.

Sources within the party described the development as a “forced convergence,” explaining that the automatic tickets granted to incumbents had effectively blocked access to other elective positions, thereby pushing displaced aspirants into the same senatorial and house of representatives’ races in what one insider termed “a survival-driven political migration.”

Amid the growing discontent, influential stakeholders within the PDP are said to be insisting on a strategic shift that prioritises electoral strength over incumbency, warning that the party risks losing ground to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties if it fails to present candidates with strong grassroots appeal and financial capacity.

The concern, it was gathered, is heightened by speculations that the APC may field formidable candidates across key positions, including Hon. Aderemi Oseni, while the incumbent senator, Sarafadeen Alli, is being linked with a possible governorship ambition, a scenario PDP leaders fear could tilt the balance of power if not effectively countered.

“This is about winning elections, not rewarding loyalty blindly,” a party chieftain said. “The APC and other parties are preparing, and we must be realistic enough to present candidates who can match them in influence, popularity, structure, and resources.”

Beyond electoral strategy, stakeholders have also raised concerns over what they described as the marginalisation of loyal party members who stood by the PDP during its turbulent moments, arguing that such individuals deserved recognition rather than exclusion under the current arrangement.

According to another source, resentment is growing among party faithful who believe that the majority of the incumbents being favoured with automatic tickets have not demonstrated exceptional performance or contributed significantly to party development, insisting that lawmakers who have completed two terms should either seek higher offices or allow fresh eminently qualified contenders to emerge.

Further fuelling uncertainty is the governor’s reported position that while he would remain in the PDP, aspirants interested in contesting elections might have to pursue their ambitions on another political platform, with assurances of his total support, a stance that has intensified speculations about possible realignments ahead of the polls.

The speculation gained traction following Makinde’s recent engagement with leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), including former Senate President David Mark and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, although details of the meeting remain unclear.

Party insiders said the absence of a clear directive from the governor on the outcome of the engagement has heightened anxiety within the PDP, especially as the timeline for party primaries draws closer and aspirants remain uncertain about the platform on which they may eventually pursue their political ambitions.

At the grassroots level, resistance to the automatic ticket policy is said to be intensifying, with several party members across local governments rejecting the move on the grounds of poor performance by some incumbents and their alleged disconnect from party structures and constituents.

A ward leader who spoke with our correspondent warned that enforcing the decision without a broad consensus could have serious electoral consequences, noting that “imposition has never produced victory in a competitive political environment.”

Despite the growing tension, Governor Makinde has yet to publicly address the concerns or provide a definitive roadmap for the party’s direction, even as his recent engagements have done little to calm the situation among the stakeholders.

With the 2027 general elections approaching and internal pressures mounting, the party now faces a critical test of cohesion and strategic clarity, as stakeholders await the governor’s next move in what many believe could ultimately determine their electoral fortunes in Oyo State.

Fresh political realignments may be underway in Oyo State as Governor Seyi Makinde is set to hold a crucial stakeholders’ meeting on Monday, with indications that he may unveil a new political platform for his loyalists ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Mega Icon Magazine gathered exclusively that the meeting, expected to hold at either the Oyo State Government Secretariat or the Government House in Ibadan, will involve political appointees, party leaders and core supporters of the governor.

Sources within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) disclosed that the meeting is coming on the heels of Makinde’s high-level consultations with key opposition figures across the country, fuelling speculations of a looming political shift.

Over the weekend, Makinde, alongside Bauchi State Governor and Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Bala Mohammed, held a closed-door meeting with former Bayelsa State Governor and National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, in Bauchi.

The consultations later moved to Kano where Makinde and Dickson met with former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.

Although the meeting was officially described as an Eid-el-Fitr visit, insiders hinted that discussions centred on possible alliances and the search for a viable political platform ahead of 2027.

‎The consultations followed stalled reconciliation efforts between PDP governors and the bloc loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, further deepening the crisis within the opposition party.

A highly placed PDP source in Oyo State told Mega Icon Magazine that Monday’s meeting may produce a directive for Makinde’s loyalists with 2027 ambitions to pursue their aspirations under a new political platform.

‎“The governor is expected to brief stakeholders on his recent consultations. He may ask those with ambitions to move to another platform that will be unveiled, while he and a few others remain in PDP to pursue pending litigations,” the source said.

The source added that Governor Makinde and some loyalists, including former Deputy Governor Taofeek Arapaja , may remain in the PDP to prosecute ongoing legal battles with the Wike-led faction up to the Supreme Court.

‎Another insider disclosed that the governor is weighing options between the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) as possible alternative platforms.

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has upheld the judgement of the Federal High Court restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognising the outcome of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) national convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State.

In a unanimous decision delivered by a three-member panel led by Justice Uchechukwu Onyemenam, the appellate court dismissed an appeal filed by a faction of the PDP led by a former Minister of Special Duties, Kabiru Turaki (SAN), challenging the jurisdiction of the lower court to entertain the suit.

The appeal formed part of nine harmonised appeals brought by the Turaki-led faction against the October 31, 2025 judgement of the Federal High Court in Abuja, which barred INEC from validating the outcome of the party’s November 15 and 16, 2025 national convention in Ibadan.

In its ruling, the Court of Appeal affirmed that the Federal High Court had jurisdiction to hear the suit, rejecting the argument that the dispute was merely an internal affair of the party.

The court held that the appellants could not “repackage a clear violation of the party’s constitution and that of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as an internal party affair.”

Justice Onyemenam further held that the PDP failed to comply with constitutional and statutory provisions required before a valid national convention could be held.

Among other findings, the court stated that no valid notice of the convention was served on INEC as required by law and that valid congresses were not conducted in more than 14 states before the convention was convened.

The appellate court stressed that compliance with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution, the Electoral Act 2022, and the party’s constitution and guidelines was fundamental to democratic governance.

“Non-compliance with the 1999 Constitution, the Electoral Act 2022 and the party Constitution and Guidelines strikes at the heart of democratic governance, and compliance must be strictly enforced in the interest of democracy,” the judge held.

The court subsequently dismissed the appeal and awarded ₦2m in costs against the appellants.

Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court had in his October 31, 2025 judgement restrained INEC from receiving, publishing, or recognising the outcome of the convention until the party complied with relevant provisions of the law.

The trial judge held that evidence before the court showed that congresses were not conducted in some states of the federation and that the PDP failed to issue the mandatory 21-day notice required to enable INEC monitor its meetings and congresses.

Justice Omotosho also ruled that notices and correspondence issued by the party’s National Chairman without the endorsement of the National Secretary were invalid.

The suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/2120/2025 was filed by three aggrieved PDP members — Austin Nwachukwu, the Imo State PDP Chairman; Amah Abraham Nnanna, the Abia State PDP Chairman; and Turnah Alabh George, the PDP Secretary for the South-South.

The plaintiffs, through their counsel, Joseph Daudu (SAN), had asked the court to stop the planned convention where new national officers of the party were expected to be elected.

Those listed as defendants in the suit included INEC, the PDP, the party’s National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu, National Organising Secretary Umar Bature, the PDP National Working Committee, the National Executive Committee, Acting National Chairman Umar Iliya Damagum, Ali Odefa, and Emmanuel Ogidi.

The All Progressives Congress (APC), in Oyo State has berated Governor Seyi Makinde and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over what it described as a fresh wave of political violence in the state.

The party said residents across the state deserved peace and stability even as they look forward to what it called a post-PDP era beginning from May 29, 2027.

Tension reportedly gripped parts of the state on Saturday when factions within the ruling PDP allegedly clashed during the conduct of a parallel Local Government Congress.

The development, according to reports, further highlighted the lingering internal crisis within the ruling party in the state.

Reacting to the incident, the APC, in a statement issued at the weekend and made available to journalists in Ibadan by its Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, accused Makinde of worsening the concerns of residents by allegedly encouraging threats and violent confrontations among members of his party.

Sadare also faulted the governor over what he described as the government’s inability to adequately tackle security challenges such as kidnapping and banditry in parts of the state.

“The minds of many citizens were cast back to the days of political violence and unrest on Saturday when they witnessed how sponsored thugs and other criminal elements unleashed terror on PDP members who were opposed to the reported high-handedness and egocentric leadership style of Governor Makinde,” Sadare said.

He added that the aggrieved members of the PDP allegedly organised a separate ward congress which was reportedly disrupted by hoodlums in areas including Ibarapa North, Iseyin, Ibadan North-East and Ibadan North, among other local government areas.

“We recalled that the same set of hoodlums and their now out-of-favour leader, who is currently behind bars on the order of his estranged godfather, were responsible for a series of attacks against leaders and members of the APC during the electioneering period of the last general elections,” he stated.

“This time, it was brothers against brothers as factions within the PDP struggled to take control of the party structure.”

Sadare further alleged that while some thugs were deployed to disrupt the Local Government Congress, another group of hoodlums was mobilised to attack the Ibadan residence of a prominent PDP chieftain.

“An army of vicious hoodlums was mobilised to the Ibadan home of a chieftain of the party where they destroyed many cars and properties worth several billions of naira,” he stressed.

“They also inflicted varying degrees of injuries on men and women believed to be loyal to the faction associated with Nyesom Wike.”

Condemning the development, the APC spokesman urged Makinde to adopt dialogue rather than confrontation in resolving political disagreements.

“While this development remains condemnable, we urge Governor Makinde to have a rethink and learn to employ dialogue as a potent tool in resolving disputes and not violence or confrontation,” Sadare added.

He also called on security agencies to investigate the incidents with a view to identifying the perpetrators and their sponsors, stressing that the state could not afford a return to the era of widespread political violence.

The Senator representing Bayelsa West, Seriake Dickson, on Thursday announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), declaring that he had joined the newly registered Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

Dickson, a former governor of Bayelsa State, made the announcement during a media briefing in Abuja, attributing his decision to what he described as irreconcilable differences within the PDP.

The lawmaker said the emergence of the NDC would strengthen Nigeria’s democratic system by providing a credible opposition platform.

According to him, the party recently received its certificate of registration from the Independent National Electoral Commission.

He said, “Last week INEC issued a certificate of registration and we now have the newest party in Nigeria known as the Nigeria Democratic Congress and our symbol is victory, the victory sign.

“So, my dear Nigerians, you now have a credible alternative opposition party known as the Nigeria Democratic Congress.”

Dickson noted that although the party’s registration took longer than expected, its eventual approval was a welcome development for the country’s democratic landscape.

“Yes, it is coming at this time. We would have wished it started some years or months back. We don’t control INEC and their processes; they delayed. We don’t also control the judiciary, but thank God it has finally arrived,” he said.

The senator also stressed that Nigeria’s democracy must not slide into a one-party system, insisting that political diversity remained vital for national stability.

“This nation cannot be a one-party state. Nigeria cannot be a one-party state. Nigeria is not designed to be a one-party state.

“We are a very diverse nation culturally, religiously and politically and that is the beauty of our country.

“So anyone or any party promoting one-party rule in Nigeria is mistaken. We build political parties and get involved in movements to access power for the good of the people, not for our personal benefit,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission recently announced the registration of two new political parties.

The parties are the Democratic Leadership Alliance and the Nigeria Democratic Congress, bringing the total number of registered political parties in Nigeria to 21.

The announcement was made by the INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, during the commission’s first quarterly consultative meeting with political party stakeholders for 2026.

According to him, the Democratic Leadership Alliance completed the required verification process, while the Nigeria Democratic Congress was registered in compliance with a Federal High Court order.

Adamawa State Governor, Umaru Fintiri, on Friday defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), in a major political realignment in the state.

Fintiri announced his defection in a state broadcast, saying the decision was taken after wide consultations and in the overriding interest of Adamawa people.

The governor said he moved to the APC alongside members of his cabinet, political appointees and all elected local government chairmen, describing the development as a collective and strategic decision.

According to him, the move was driven by the need to strengthen alignment with the Federal Government to accelerate development and enhance national unity.

He said closer synergy with the centre would boost access to federal interventions and fast-track key infrastructure and social investment programmes across the state.

Fintiri assured residents that governance would continue seamlessly, with no disruption to ongoing projects and policies.

The development came days after the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Wesley Bathiya, resigned his membership of the PDP alongside 14 other lawmakers.

Bathiya announced their resignation during plenary, presenting and reading letters of withdrawal from the affected lawmakers after the day’s legislative proceedings.

One of the defecting members, Mahmud Kallamu, Chairman of the House Committee on Information, described the move as strategic and in the best interest of their constituents.

An APC lawmaker, who spoke on the sidelines, said the party would welcome the defectors should they formally declare for it, adding that the development signals a significant shift in Adamawa’s political landscape.

Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has declared that competence and loyalty to the state, rather than personal allegiance to him, will determine who succeeds him in the 2027 governorship election.

Makinde made the statement on Sunday at the 12th ‘Omituntun’ Annual Ramadan Public Lecture held at the Ibadan North Local Government Motor Park, Agodi Gate, Ibadan.

The governor said his position was shaped by conversations with some of his colleagues who allegedly handed over power to individuals they considered loyal, only to be disappointed after they assumed office.

“I have been talking to quite a number of my colleagues, and they said the person they handed over power to got to office and started misbehaving,” Makinde said.

“I asked them how they chose the person, supported him, but he changed when he got to the office. The common thread has been that they installed someone whom they felt would be loyal to them.”

He stressed that Oyo State would not follow such a path.

“Today, I have made up my mind that whoever would emerge as my successor would be based on competence and loyalty to Oyo State, not to Seyi Makinde,” he said.

Makinde also warned against a return to political violence in the state, urging residents and political actors to place peace above partisan interests.

“Moving forward, we don’t want to return to the period of political violence, irrespective of party affiliations. So, please keep praying that whoever would become the next governor should be loyal to the state,” he added.

Highlighting the achievements of his administration, the governor said loyalty to the state had guided policy decisions and financial commitments. According to him, his government has paid over ₦25bn to offset outstanding gratuities inherited from previous administrations.

He disclosed that the monthly gratuity payment had been increased from ₦1bn to ₦3bn, with a commitment to ensure that no retiree would be owed by May 2027.

Makinde also listed the upgrade of the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport to international status as a major milestone. He expressed optimism that Hajj pilgrims would be airlifted from the facility by May 2026.

The governor appreciated the Muslim community for its support since he assumed office in 2019 and appealed for sustained prayers for his administration.

To commemorate the Ramadan lecture, Makinde donated seven buses to mosques across the state and presented a brand-new SUV to the guest lecturer, Sheikh Jamiu Ajadi Sanusi, popularly known as Ami Olohun.

In his lecture on contentment, Sanusi commended the administration’s developmental strides, cautioned against “mischievous people,” and urged residents to embrace contentment, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

Also speaking at the event, a former governor of the state and the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rasheed Ladoja, described Ramadan as a season of perseverance, sacrifice and spiritual renewal.

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has alleged that more startling revelations on alleged corruption and fund mismanagement under the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde are imminent.

The opposition party spoke amid the controversy surrounding the alleged N50bn said to have been released to the state by the Federal Government to cushion the effects of the January 2024 explosion that ravaged parts of Bodija Estate, Ibadan.

The allegation followed claims by a former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, that the Federal Government released N50bn to Makinde as intervention funds after the explosion.

While the state government has issued official statements and granted media interviews to explain its position, analysts and political observers have faulted the governor for what they described as a failure to promptly disclose details of the alleged intervention.

In a statement issued at the weekend and made available to journalists in Ibadan, the APC, through its Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, accused the Makinde-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government of insensitivity and lack of transparency.

The party said, “Governor Makinde lives in a glass house from where he throws stones at the neighbourhood while constantly seeking to demonise the government at the centre as a result of his penchant for self-aggrandisement and dirty politicking.

“There is no denying the fact that the N50bn Ibadan explosion relief fund saga has cleared all doubts about the current PDP government in Oyo State being a cesspool of corruption that thrives on false narratives and propaganda. This is a clear case of fund mismanagement and insensitivity to the plight of the victims of the explosion and their community.”

The APC also accused the governor of attempting to cast the Federal Government in a bad light instead of appreciating President Bola Tinubu for responding to the emergency.

“Another sad dimension is the attempt by Governor Makinde to demonise the Tinubu administration rather than appreciate the President for responding to the emergency by providing a whopping sum of money to ameliorate the pains of the victims,” the statement read.

The party recalled that Makinde had, in 2020, accused the administration of the late President Muhammadu Buhari of distributing contaminated rice as COVID-19 palliatives in the state.

According to the APC, the governor has also failed to acknowledge what it described as benefits accruing to the state from the Tinubu administration, including increased monthly allocations, donations of CNG buses, vehicles, and tricycles, as well as periodic palliatives.

“So far, the best response from Governor Makinde has been his open condemnation of the removal of fuel subsidy, while he has also been the loudest voice against the implementation of the Supreme Court judgment granting full financial autonomy to local government councils,” the party alleged.

The APC further accused the governor of selling landed properties belonging to the Federal Government and showing “disdain” for key institutions such as the judiciary.

It also recalled a legal action instituted by Makinde against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in 2019 over the controversial exercise book contract, noting that the case was still pending.

However, the party claimed that some allies of the governor were now willing to expose alleged improprieties within the administration.

“We have it on good authority that some allies of Governor Makinde are now being troubled by their conscience and can no longer conceal the dirty secrets of the PDP government in the state.

“They have started talking to the appropriate authorities, and by the time their revelations are made public, Governor Makinde and his co-travellers will have nowhere to hide,” the APC added.
