According to the family the burial programme will begin on April 29, 2019.

Sugar was killed by unknown gunmen during the governorship and House of Assembly elections in the Lalupon area of Lagelu Local Government area of Oyo state.

Though, it is unsure if the late legislator would be buried at home or his native Alape village in Lagelu local government area of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

In a chat with our reporter on Monday, the late Hon. Olatoye Temitope’s younger brother, Mr. Dotun Olatoye announced the burial date for the deceased.

“Burial program would likely be a week. We are looking at Monday 29th April, 2019 – Friday 3rd May, 2019. We shall take final position on or before this Friday”, he explained.

According to highly impeccable source who confided in Mega Icon Magazine, the ex- commissioner would be representing Oyo state at the Federal Character Commission (FCC) for the next five years.

It would be recalled that Bimbo Kolade, Temitope Olatoye Sugar were stepped down for former senate leader, Teslim Folarin during the recently conducted APC primaries.

Kolade, who is a kitchen cabinet member and an age long associate of Governor Abiola Ajimobi had also served as the Honourable commissioner in the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development, Ministry of Lands, Housing and Survey and Ministry of Works respectively.

The Fiditi born politician attended the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife for his Bachelor’s, degree in Building, while he also obtained a Master degree in Housing Development from University of Ibadan. He has also attended various management courses at Lagos Business School.

The lawmaker, who is representing Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency said Faleti was one of nollywood’s most respected icon, fore-father, custodian of art and culture.

Hon. Olatoye, who received the news of Faleti’s death with shock, added  that Nollywood has lost a great icon, legend and pillar.

He maintained that his great deeds and works will forever remain on the face of art and culture in Nigeria and the entire world at large.

He, however commiserate with the entire family, Oyo state and Nigeria in general.

Refreshing your memory, Faleti died on the 22nd July 2017 at the University College hospital Ibadan at 86.

He was a Nigerian poet,  journalist,  writer and actor. He was also known as a Yoruba translator, a broadcaster, TV exponent and a pioneer of the first television station in Africa, Western Nigeria Television (WNTV).

He was responsible for translating Nigeria’s National Anthem from English to Yoruba.

He also translated speeches being made by military president of Nigeria Ibrahim babangida and Chief Ernest shonekan, Head of National Interim Government of Nigeria, from English to Yoruba.
