The bail is set at N300 million, and he is required to provide two sureties with the same amount, both possessing certificates of occupancy and property titles within the Maitama District.

As part of the conditions, Emefiele must deposit all his travel documents with the court registrar and remain within the Abuja Municipal Council. He is expected to stay in the Kuje Correctional Centre until meeting the specified bail conditions.

During the ruling on his bail application on Wednesday morning, Emefiele was absent. However, his lawyer, Mr. Mathew Burkaa, explained that this was normal, as Emefiele was already at the Kuje Correctional Centre.

This development follows a similar bail granted four months ago by the Federal High Court in Lagos, where Emefiele was granted bail in the sum of N20 million.
